TIM LEWANDOWSKI – 2019 Friend of the Arts
Tim Lewandowski.jpg

Tim Lewandowski’s love for working in theater began when he was on stage crew for the St. Francis de Sales High School production of West Side Story in 1994. He worked on St. Francis's shows through high school and continued to help for several years even after graduating.

After high school, he became involved with the Toledo Rep working shows including Godspell, A Christmas Carol, and A My Name Is Alice. Tim met his wife, Lisa, while running the fly rail for a production of Guys and Dolls at The Franciscan Center.

Tim has also had the opportunity to work several national tours at both the Stranahan Theater and the Valentine Theater. His favorite was working The Phantom of the Opera.

His wife's involvement with theatre and dance opened new opportunities with the River Raisin Centre for the Arts. At RRCA, Tim has built numerous musical sets and props for dance recitals including a seven-foot dime!

After his children, Katya, Mariska, Andrzej, and Zoja became involved with dance, Tim became a member of the River Raisin Ballet Company. He has appeared on stage as Father Grins in The Nutcracker, The Sultan in Aladdin, and Mr. Darling in Peter Pan.

For Cutting Edge Theatre Company, Tim has worked on lights, both hanging and designing; helped build sets; and, helped set up sound for the productions! His favorite CETC productions are Cabaret and Pippin.

In the real world, Tim does engineering for LivingSpace Sunrooms.
