Our goal in building Cutting Edge is two-fold: to better serve our mission, and to serve the community with integrated programs. Eventually, Cutting Edge will house a professional Youth Theater in Residence, as well as informal weekly courses in the performing arts for Senior Citizens. Cutting Edge will consist of participants, ages 13 to 18, committed to creating original performance through acting, writing, directing, and design. Seniors will be offered drama courses that will develop their skills in scene-study, improvisation, and movement. These programs are a natural outgrowth of the successful Intergenerational Performance Workshops that will be sponsored by Cutting Edge in the near future.

Cutting Edge Outreach program provides an accessible way for people of all ages to interact with artists and appreciate performing arts from corners of the world. We believe that performing arts offer ways to explore other cultures, connect us with our own roots, and challenge us to think in new ways. The program is available through pre-perfomance lectures, master classes and demonstrations at Cutting Edge.

In 2010, Cutting Edge Theatre Company offers a vastly enhanced Education Program. We believe that learning is a life-long process, and so our new program offers extended opportunities for people of all ages to reap the rewards of practical engagement with theatre and drama. Creativity has an increasingly important place in our lives, and these programs aim to unleash new ways of thinking, imagining and communicating.
